This year’s IDW will take place at Western University, in London, Ontario. Western's picturesque main campus spans approximately 1,120 acres, gracefully bisected by the Thames River. Western supports around 36,200 full‑time students (nearly 29,400 undergraduates and over 6,800 in master’s and doctoral programs), with 11 faculties plus professional schools in medicine, law, business, and engineering. The faculty body includes approximately 1,432 full‑time professors, supported by around 2,800 staff, delivering education to a global student body of over 42,000—including nearly 5,720 international students from more than 126 countries. Western offers more than 400 undergraduate program combinations and approximately 160 graduate programs, and is a founding member of the U15 research-intensive universities in Canada—drawing nearly $300  million in annual research funding.
